The much-waited film of Pawan Kalyan, Gabbar Singh 2, is finally ready to hit the floors.
As per a press release from Pawan Kalyan, the star himself has conceived the story. It was also he who had decided to name the first film Gabbar Singh and add fresh elements to the maverick cop’s character.
Right from the costume of the cop to the popular antakshari episode involving thugs and ruffians, Pawan Kalyan’s inputs had forged the destiny of the film.
The superstar is now set to recreate the magic with Gabbar Singh 2, a love story laced with loads of action and great.
Pawan Kalyan had been working on the script, which is neither a prequel nor a sequel to Gabbar Singh, much before his foray into politics.
The project was first announced with Sampath Nandi as the director but as there was a delay in the start of the project, Sampath moved on to produce a film under his own banner and is now directing another film.
After Sampath’s exit, keeping in view the entertainment factor, K. Ravindra (Bobby) has been finalised as the director. After several auditions for the female lead, Anisha Ambrose, a Telugu girl from Vizag, has been finalised.
Sharrath Marar, a close friend and associate of Pawan Kalyan, will be producing the film. Sharrath was also supposed to produce Gabbar Singh but things had not fallen in place and Pawan Kalyan, who is known to always keep his word, ensured that the film was produced by Sharrath. Says the producer, “Shooting will commence in December with a short schedule and the production will aim for a May 2015 release.”
Actors like Bramhanandam, Ali and Narra Srinu have also been confirmed for the film. Pawan Kalyan apparently also wants to rope Bollywood actors for key roles.
He has also confirmed that his favourite “antakshari gang” will also be there in Gabbar Singh 2 which will have music by Devi Sri Prasad.
